What happens when you need to call?
We will ask you to confirm your name and the current problem you have.
We will try to assist you with all the questions you have and give specific information that can help you in relation to your emergency, until the situation is resolved. I.e. we will call the nearest police station and liaise with them for you or if you get lost call us and we will figure out where you are and give you directions back home.
If the call is of a very urgent nature, i.e. Robbery, Health Problems or if you have been attacked and specifically concerned for your well being or property, we would take your details of the event and call the emergency services. We will liaise with you at the same time to ensure we address the situation properly and get advice from the emergency services (Police, Fire and Ambulance) of the next step.
Track and trace for Relatives
Situation: Relatives have not heard from you for a long time and they can’t contact you.
Resolution: All you have to do is give them our number and if they are concerned they can call us and we can contact you or your associates to see that you are ok. If we can’t find you we may get your parents’ permission to call the police.
Emergency Contact for Universities and Authorities
Situation: The University needs to contact your parents as something has happened to you but your parents don’t speak English. Resolution:, you can give the university or agencies our number and we will liaise between them as your emergency contact and speak to your relatives.
REGISTERING
What you need to do to register?
You will need to register your details with us by filling out the form that is sent to you by email when you buy the relevant plan. We will ask for contact details, your main phone number in the UK, the university you are attending, your address details and persons whom we can contact in case of an emergency.
You will call an emergency number given to you on registration so that you can contact this number 24 hours a day if an emergency arises.
You will be able to take advantage of the services once you sign up to a plan for the duration of the plan or until you cancel.
